  Hello Ella! That's really cool that you got to visit a foreign country that you learned all about, especially with learning French for four years. I also learned four years of a foreign language in high school (Spanish), but our own European trip to Spain got canceled because of Covid.

  Nice to meet you Jackson! I also really like history a lot and took AP US History as an online class since my high school couldn't offer it. Just wondering, where is your picture from? I went to Olympic National Park over the summer and the nature in your photo looked pretty similar to what I saw.

 Hello everyone! I'm Ben Kaczmar, and I'm from Mattawan, MI, which is near Kalamazoo. I am 19 years old, and I will be studying General Business at GVSU. I won't have a job during the first semester for sure although I previously had worked at Meijer's. I am taking the class because I am interested in history. The course sounds like a lot of fun because it's built on ideas that I wouldn't have learned before. I have been learning Spanish for 5 years, which helped me choose to take The Making of Latin America. I hope for the class I get to meet a lot of new friends and people that just want each other to succeed. I am also excited to engage with the professors because I know that I can learn so many different things whether that's directly through class material, Spanish, the honors program, or GVSU in general.
